Leaders and Knots.
Day 2.

Long Trotting with Bugs

All meet at 4.30pm to 5pm for de brief / goodbyes.
We aim to: Enhance your approach / success.
Through Coaching / Demonstration / Instruction:
Cover all approaches to Grayling with ‘Spider’ patterns ‘ Down and Across’ / ‘Upstream and Downstream’
‘Dry Fly’ / New Zeland method (Nymph infront of Dry) / Bugging or Czech Nymphing (Heavyweight Nymphs ) close by or with Indicator at a distance / Long trotting ‘Bugs’
There is an Instructor / Guide for each two anglers that will move around during the day to cover and revisit all topics listed and help with any problems that may arise.

Based at ‘ Dolgadfa’, Crogen Estate with the fishing on three
‘Private Beats’ in the Upper Dee Valley.
You will require clothing to suit the weather / Chest Waders / EA fishing Licence / You can bring your own Rod 9’, 9’ 6” Reel and Line # 5/6 Floating / Net / or we can supply them for you. All flies will be provided.
Bring your own Beer! ........ preferably ‘Draught Guinness’ or John Smith’s smooth!.....

'THE LAST COURSE RESULTED IN OVER 100 GRAYLING'
Update 22nd October 2009.
The River Dee was kind to us over the past three days when the autumn 'Grayling Fishing School' was run from 'Dolgadfa' on the Crogen Esate. In sometimes difficult weather situations with a howling wind the six participants did exceptionally well, returning 17 for the first day 33 the second day and 55 the third day. A number of the fish were in the 40cm to 47cm bracket. A few quality Brown Trout were also caught, all fish were returned to the water. Here are some pictures.

A massive thank you to everyone involved in putting together “Grayling Fishing School”, I cannot recall three days I have enjoyed more. This is a must for anyone who wants to be successful in the pursuit of Grayling – absolutely fabulous! Peter.

Where do l start, the scenery, the accommodation,the company,the fishing,the tuition, FANTASTIC !! all I can say is what a wonderful 3 days of pure enjoyment and recommend to anyone who wants to experience grayling no matter what your abilities are. When is the next one!!!!!Many many thanks.Guy
